    Hello dear friends,

If you've ever been through the heartache of losing a baby or if you've stood alongside someone who has, you know words can only do so much. Sometimes it takes more—it takes the enduring love and strength we find in Jesus and the Bible. This truth is the bedrock of New Mercy Moms. We aim to be that safe space where grieving mamas and their families can lean into Jesus for hope and healing.

So, here's our big news: To bring that mission to even more families, we're officially becoming a nonprofit organization. Let's dive into why this move is a game-changer for everyone involved.

The Stark Reality: The Urgent Need for Hope

The statistics on child loss in the U.S. are both staggering and heart-wrenching. The annual number of babies and children who die in the United States:

    1. Miscarriages: Annually, there are about 900,000 to 1 million miscarriages in the U.S., with more than 500,000 of these occurring in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy.

    2. Infant Deaths: The total number of infant deaths in 2022 was 20,538. Additionally, there are about 3,400 sudden unexpected infant deaths (SUID) each year in the U.S..

    3. Stillbirths: About 21,000 stillbirths were reported in the United States in 2020 and 2021.

    4. Child Deaths (Ages 1-14): For children aged 1-14 years, there were 9,791 in 2021.

    5. Teen Deaths (Ages 15-19): The number of deaths for adolescents aged 15–19 years was 13,407 in 2021.

Combining these statistics, we can estimate that each year in the United States, there are over 1 million instances of pregnancy loss (including miscarriages and stillbirths), about 20,000 infant deaths, and close to 24,000 deaths of children and teens.

Those numbers represent so many grieving mothers and families. Despite its frequency, the loss of a child — and the deep grief that comes with it — remain topics that are often hushed up, making the journey even more lonesome for those who are suffering.

Why We Do What We Do

This is precisely why New Mercy Moms exists: to find these grieving mothers who may not know where to turn or who to talk to, and to meet them right where they are with the hope of the Gospel. Because no mom should have to walk through this dark valley alone, we provide Christ-centered resources that direct them back to the unwavering hope and healing that can only be found in Jesus.

    A Mission All About Jesus

Our mission has never wavered: We’re all about empowering mamas who've faced loss to find their hope and healing in Jesus. Not generic "faith," not some vague "higher power," but Jesus Himself and the Bible. Through Him, we find the grace and grit to continue on.

    Vision: Making Gospel Truths Tangible

We're not just here to offer comforting words. We aim to be a beacon directing you straight to the Gospel, right where you are—in your questioning, in your grief, in your search for understanding.

    How Do We Do It?

    1. Blog Posts That Go Deeper

      • Imagine sitting down for coffee with a friend who’s walked your path, who's held others' hands through the same, and who's witnessed the transformative grace of God firsthand. Our blog aims to be that—touching on the practical, diving into the emotional, and always grounding you in truth straight from Scripture.

    2. Care Packages Straight From the Heart

      • These aren’t your run-of-the-mill care packages. Each one is curated with intention, filled with hand-selected Gospel-centered resources designed not just to comfort but to remind your heart of God’s loving presence in our darkest moments.

    3. Online Courses For Real Struggles

      • Designed to meet you where you are, our courses don’t just offer practical tools. They’re steeped in Biblical wisdom to help you confront and navigate complex emotions like fear and anxiety, all while drawing you closer to Jesus. It’s like theology meets your day planner.

    For the Support Crew

If you're a friend, a family member, or even a care provider to a mom who's dealing with loss, we see you too. You're essential in this journey. And we've got resources designed to help you offer the kind of support that’s grounded in Jesus.

    Why Go Nonprofit?

    Amplifying Impact, Expanding Reach

Becoming a nonprofit isn't just a change in status; it's a strategic step towards amplifying our impact and expanding the avenues through which we can share the hope of the Gospel.

    1. Fostering Partnerships

      • This change allows us to collaborate seamlessly with other organizations, churches, and counselors who resonate with our mission. Together, we can pool our resources and expertise to create Gospel-centered materials that are even more impactful.

    2. Engaging Supporters

      • Being a nonprofit makes it simpler for supporters like you—whether you're a grieving mom, a supportive family member, or a healthcare provider—to contribute. Not only will your donations be tax-deductible, but you'll also have the assurance that every dollar is going directly towards initiatives that uplift mothers and families in their time of need.

    3. Sustainable Outreach

      • The nonprofit model provides a more stable platform for long-term planning and sustainability, which means we can continue to produce quality content and resources for years to come.

    4. Meeting Moms in Their Need

      • By God’s grace, this new structure will enable us to more directly meet the urgent needs of bereaved moms. Whether it’s through timely care packages, heartfelt blogs, or targeted courses, we can provide Gospel-infused comfort and practical help at scale.

    How Can You Chip In?

We invite you to be part of this exciting journey. Your contributions can make a profound difference in the lives of grieving moms, their families, and the care providers who support them. Together, let's share the hope of the Gospel where it’s needed most.

Feel called to join us? Your donation will not only be tax-deductible but will go a long way in helping others find the Jesus-centered comfort and strength they need.
