The Story Behind the Art

I can still remember summers at my grandparents’ house, where the blueberry bushes grew so tall they felt like little trees. Every summer we would gather with my grandmother to pick them, watching the berries slowly ripen from soft pink to deep purple and finally to that perfect shade of blue. I remember waiting so patiently for the right moment to taste them. I also remember the day my grandfather had to cut the trees down because they were no longer producing. For a young girl who loved trees and the safety of traditions, I was heartbroken. I deeply felt the loss of those bushes. Yet to this day I can still recall the feeling and taste of those blueberries and the beauty they brought to my world.
Though that memory pales in comparison to the love we hold for the children who are no longer with us, it was a reminder me that cherishing their life is both a courageous and beautiful act.
May this custom print bless you and your family, as you honor the beauty and precious memory of the child you’ve lost.”
