The Story Behind the Art

“Just two years after getting married my husband and I left our tiny Texas cabin in pursuit of a new chapter in Utah. We packed up our few belongings hauling everything we owned in a little trailer behind our Corolla. Along the way, we imagined the life waiting for us over the horizon, unsure of what God had in store. I remember the moment we arrived into the southern part of Utah and drove through the valley to then be completely surrounded by glorious hills. Here we are now, 8 years later and the beauty of those mountains feels as new to me as the day we arrived. I love them for many reasons but mainly because they are an ever present reminder for me that God is bigger than all of my trials and the heartache in this world. He is faithful and steadfast. May this simple watercolor be a reminder for you of God’s faithfulness even in the wake of unthinkable loss.”
