The Story Behind the Art

“One of the most important things about being an artist is the ability to observe. I find in my art that by the end of the day I use my eyes more than my hands and brush. Of the many beautiful things in this world I can tell you one of them that I never miss the opportunity to observe almost every day is- trees! Whether walking, driving or just sitting in my living room my eyes always go to them. From the time I can remember I have always been a tree watcher. Kind of funny isn’t it? I can't name all the streets in my town but I can talk to you about the trees. This painting came from that simple love and the bird is a simple reminder to trust.
’Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?’ (Matthew 6:26).”
