About Kathy Clum short bio

Hi, I’m Kathy Clum.

Founder

In 2015, my world turned upside down when I lost my firstborn child,Jack, just two weeks after he was born. At first, I tried to run from the pain of death and all that reminded me of it, but I soon found that that didn’t work. Jesus was the only One who could bring life to those death pains I felt inside.

The Need

The statistics on child loss in the U.S. are both staggering and heart-wrenching. Every year, over 1,000,000 children die in the United States. That represents so many grieving mothers and families.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear — Create biblically grounded and theologically rich resources that address the needs of mothers who have experienced the death of a child, equipping them to find the hope and healing found in Jesus. We aim not only to support them in their journey but also to empower them to help others facing similar tragedies.

Our Actions

In keeping with 2 Corinthians 1:3-5, the purpose and vision of New Mercy Moms is to provide caring, biblical help and healing to comfort, equip, and empower mothers grieving the death of a child.

Our vision impacts more than individual healing, recognizing that helping a mother strengthens a family, bolstering a community, and, ultimately, has the potential to change the world.

We are not just here to offer comforting words. We aim to direct you straight to the Gospel, right where you are—in your questioning, in your grief, in your search for understanding.

Statement of Faith

  1. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. (Psalm 119:160; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1: 19-21; Revelation 22:18-19)

  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 1:16-18; 1 John 5:7)

  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Mark 14:62; 16:19; Acts 1:9-11; Acts 4:10-12, 5:30-31; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 7:25)

  4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (John 3:16-18; Acts 16:31; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9, 10; 1 Corinthians 15:3.4; Ephesians 2:8, 9; 2 Peter 3:9)

  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 3:5-7; John 14:16-18, 26; John 16:7-8; Ephesians 1:13-14)

  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (1 Corinthians 15; 2 Corinthians 5:6-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20-22)

  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6)
